1. DIY Summer Scarf

    Thursday, April 26, 2012

(Grab the code above if you would like to share this instructograph on your blog)

A few months ago I found this beautiful flowery fabric at a thrift store.  I knew I wanted to make an infinity scarf out of it and I think it turned out really well!  It was so simple to make so I think I'll have to make a few more for the Summer.  What do you think?!

If you end up making one - share pictures!  I'd love to see them!

  2. Warm in Washington

    Monday, November 7, 2011

(Image via // Indelible Photo Co.)
I am obsessed with my SageFringe crochet headbands!  They are beautifully crafted out of Washington, and I love Macy's work.  All of it is quite perfect for Fall accessorizing!  I have two of them myself and I love them.  Christmas gift list: check, check!!  But I may just have to order this eggplant scarf for myself!  And then, perhaps someday I'll learn how to crochet myself - fingers crossed!

Do you love her as much as I do!?  Well, if you do you can send Macy some love on Facebook!  I hope you have a wonderfully warm day!

  3. DIY Fabric Flowers ~ They are adorable and perfect for so many things!  Attach them to pillows, curtains, headbands, skirts, jackets, headboards, or pretty much anything!  Try making different colors, different sizes, and adding different size buttons.  And as always, have fun!

1}   Cut circles to the desired size (maybe several different sizes!).

2}   Keep one circle flat as the base.  Fold four circles in half, then half again.  Attach the four to the base circle.  Use a sewing machine or thread and needle to attach folded circles to the middle of the base.

3}   Add another layer (or another) to the fabric flowers until they are your desired fluffiness!  (I made the second layer a slightly smaller circle than the first layer)

4}   Top with a button or a bead in the middle to finish it off!  And Ta-Dah! You have beautiful handmade fabric flowers -- Decorate away!

  4. New Handmade Jewelry || First Look

    Wednesday, September 21, 2011

I finally added a few items to my Etsy Store today!  Now you can find Allegra Peruvian Opal Earrings and June Ryvre Pyrite Earrings on Etsy; a nice little addition to the Ninth & Bird collection!

I love naming each piece of jewelry!  Most of the names I've used have had some sort of meaning behind them.  Example:  Allegra was a seven year old girl I met while I was a Nanny in New York.  I met her for the first time while I was in Italy and I thought the Peruivan earrings fit her.  So I guess there is a story behind each piece!

The next time you're browsing Etsy.com, check out my friends new shop, SageFringe!  And have a glorious day!

  6. I love the idea of a camera bag that looks like a purse and not a piece of luggage.  I would love to take my camera everywhere and not look like a tourist!  While browsing the interwebs I found three bags that are stylish, adorable, and carry everything you need from lenses to wallet.  I can't decide which one to get but I'm leaning towards {#2} the Mimi Bag!
Inspired by the classic 1940s school bag: the Brooklyn.
Kelly Moore, the lavender Mimi Bag.
Jo Totes Handbags, The Rose in Moss.
