This project is really beautiful!  An intervention on the streets of Paris, it's called Project Pothole.  I love art that's so unique it has the ability to surprise and bring a smile to the faces of anyone passing by.  Oh Paris, you're a dirty city but also kind of adorable.

In other news, on the World Wide Web and in my thoughts:

1.}  I'm in love with Mary Meyer's Spring collection - with all the geometric shapes! Simplicity is bliss.

2.}  I'm DYING to wear TIE DYE for some reason!  You say, "That's so 90's."  ...I say, "Whatever."  Shopping trip to Forever 21 soon?! Perhaps so...

3.}  Lastly, I adore these shoes.  If you haven't heard of TOMS shoes, like me a few weeks ago, best to be aware.  Otherwise, you may be verbally attacked by two lovely ladies in Washington (slash TOMS Shoes promoters?) who really want you to know.  Just sayin.

    Happy Saturday!

  2. Easter Blessings

    Sunday, April 24, 2011

This is my second year attending the Easter Sunrise Service at Red Rocks.  I can't believe it's been a year ago now that I moved to Denver and made the hike up these stairs to celebrate Easter is such an amazing way.  I knew I couldn't miss the experience again, and although it was much colder this year, and wet, I couldn't help think back to last years service.

I came alone.  I had only lived in Denver for a month and didn't know anyone but my roommate, who wasn't into the idea of waking up at the break of dawn.  I sat down next to a lady and her son who welcomed me to share their blankets.   I was so glad!  It was cold and I was very unprepared.

What I remember most about that time is feeling so excited for my new life in Denver and so scared at the same time.  Like I said, I knew one person here and all I had was my savings and a hope and a prayer that a job would come along.  It's now that I see how God has blessed me this year.  I know it's Easter and not Thanksgiving, but today I am thankful.

Psalms 105:1  ||   O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

    Wishing everyone a happy Easter!

  3. Chalk It Up.

    Sunday, April 3, 2011

I devoted this weekend to getting projects done.  I recently moved into an adorable studio apartment with hard wood floors and lead paint.  I love the idea of living in an old building, and I'll try not to eat the paint chips.

It was quite a challenge to fit all of my things into such a small space but I think I pulled it off beautifully.  I still have several projects on my list until I feel completely settled in, but this weekend I focused on my bathroom door.  It was... well, white and boring, and I desperately felt the need to draw all over it.

So I painted it.  I painted it into a chalk board.

All in all, a pretty great weekend!  Goodnight... sleep well.

And in other news, found on the World Wide Webs:
I love this idea for DIY Summer sandals.
Spring is coming! I found an adorable planter idea!
I wish they made these in "Extra Tall" - Cutest Jeans EVER!
Music I'm loving right now, Jon Foreman.
    *Enjoy*
